1. The following equipment that will be provided by the Junior Raiders organization;
Shoulder pads, Helmets, Chin Strap, Integrated Practice/Game pants, Game Jerseys, game socks.
2. Parent Equipment responsibility Cleats, Mouthpiece, and Cup.
3. Where to buy equipment? (Dick’s, Sports Authority,) Ask your coach if you need assistance.
4. Each player should have an additional mouth pieces during the season. (At least 2)
5. Football gloves not required but recommended for colder whether. The gloves will keep the hands warm and prevent certain injuries.
6. Please notify the entire coaching staff of any type of health conditions or medications that needs to be administered during practices or games. (Asthma, Insulin, Allergies)
7. Each player must have a jock strap with a proper fitting cup.
8. Each player must have a tee shirt underneath their shoulder pads at all times. This will help keep the shoulder pads as sanitary as possible. This is mandatory for every player to have a tee shirt on underneath their shoulder pads at all times.
9. Water or Gatorade is strongly recommended for each player to have during every practice and all games. At least a 20oz container (NO GLASS) with your child’s first and last name on it. Please do not send any liquids that contain caffeine (Soda, Tea, Red bull are unacceptable and will dehydrate your child.)
10. Rib protector not required but recommended for most skill positions. (QB, RB, TE, LB, DB,)
11. Football cleats should be molted or screw-ins, (No metal cleats.) We recommend mid high cleats to protect the ankle. Screw-ins or molted are fine.
12. Socks should be worn at all times. (Mid Calf or over the calf is strongly recommended)
13. Eye Glasses: Your child must have sports goggles to be worn underneath the football helmet.
14. No jewelry of at any time is permitted.
15. Proper diet is very important. We recommend that each child eat a balanced meal two hours prior to practice or a game. A good diet is critical for optimum performance in an athlete. Also please drink at least 16 - 20 oz of water a few hours prior to a game. (NO LIQUIDS THAT CONTAIN CAFFEINE.)
